Brembo's first 'radial' design, with
a very short working cylinder arranged at 90' to the handlebar.
Aside from yielding a very compact, lightweight unit, this
provided a very direct braking 'feel' instead of the usual
'best guess' lever cam ratios of conventional inline master
cylinders. In typical Brembo fashion, this unit won its
share of World GP & Superbike Championships in the late
80's and early 90's. Now out of production, repair parts
are readily available.
